On October 2, 2012, the Community Foundation of Carroll County (Foundation) named Carroll Child Care Centers, Inc. Founded in 1969, Carroll Child Care Centers is Carroll County’s oldest and most credentialed program, and only non-profit, for the weekday care and education of very young children ages 6-weeks through five years.  More than 4,000 local children from all backgrounds, many from poor families, are graduates.  The Center serves up to 60 children inside recently renovated facilities at 224 North Center Street, in Westminster, its home since April, 2009.

The Center has held a State or National accreditation credential continuously for more than four decades, longer than any other child care program in the County.  Center employees are the most tenured in the County.  The Center holds an additional MSDE credential, recognizing staff professionalism, at the highest level attainable.
