Having cancer is hard. Finding help shouldn’t be. That’s why the American Cancer Society offers a number of services to help people with cancer and their families overcome obstacles in their personal cancer fight so they can focus on getting well.
One of the toughest challenges patients face is getting to and from much-needed cancer treatments. They may be too sick to drive themselves, may not have a car or someone to drive them, or may not be able to afford gas or other transportation costs. The American Cancer Society provides patients with rides to treatment centers, and that’s where you can help.
Your American Cancer Society is looking for individuals who can use their own vehicles to take patients who are undergoing cancer treatment to and from their appointments. If you have a few hours to spare and would like to make a difference in someone’s life, please contact Jen Burdette at the American Cancer Society in their Eldersburg office at 410-781-6907 or jen.burdette@cancer.org
