Alert: Pipes Being Repaired at Oklahoma Rd and Norris Ave

Water service in the area could be interrupted while the work is being done.

Carroll County Utility workers will be working on the water pipes at Oklahoma Ave and Norris Ave according a release from the town of Sykesville.

The repair involves cutting the street and then replacing valves on the pipes underground. This repair will take at least a week depending on the weather.

Water service could be interrupted while this work continues.

Once service is restored residents may experience cloudy water.  Turning the tap on and running water for several minutes will clear the lines.

It is advisable to refrain from using high water volume appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, etc., during periods of cloudy water or low pressure.
