Alert: Road Closure for Turkey Trot 5K Thanksgiving Morning
There won't be turkeys but there will be a lot of people walking and jogging around the YMCA Thursday morning for the annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K.
On Thursday, Nov. 22 the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5k Run/Walk will take place in the area ranging from the YMCA to Hook Road.
The 3.1 mile main route will go from the Carroll Community College to the YMCA of Central MD Hill Family Center. This will include MD 32 Northbound from MD 97 to Hook Road and Hook Road from MD 32 to MD 97. The closure will take place from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Southbound MD 32 will remain open at all times during the event. Message signs will be used to alert motorists of the closure and provide a detour for MD 32 and Hook Road.
