Carroll County Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash

The incident happened on Route 30 in Hampstead Sunday afternoon.

 

A man was killed in Carroll County Sunday afternoon after the motorcycle he was driving struck a curb, according to a Maryland State Police press release.

Around 4 p.m. Sunday, Maryland State Police Troopers responded to a crash on Route 30, south of Trenton Mill Road in Hampstead.

The investigation revealed the Leonard Thomas Fazio, 48, of the 3700 block of Millers Station Road in Manchester, was driving a 1989 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he crossed over the double yellow line and struck a curb on the northbound shoulder, ejecting him from his bike, according to police. 

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
