Carrolltown Mall to Get a $50 Million 'Total Redevelopment'

"[This is] something the community has waited for patiently for a long time." -- a Black Oak Development representative.

Carrolltown Mall will see a $50 million "total redevelopment" to include new stores and restaurants, according to Dixon Harvey of Black Oak Associates.

Earlier this week, Commissioner Doug Howard stated in a news release that the owner of Carrolltown Mall, Black Oak Associates, would be announcing redevelopment plans for the mall at a Town Hall meeting taking place Monday.

Harvey, a partner at Black Oak Associates, told Patch that they are excited to share the redevelopment plans for Carrolltown Mall at Monday's meeting.

"We are obviously very excited to be announcing it, [this is] something the community has waited for patiently for a long time and we've been working on it a long time, going on 10 years," Harvey said.

Harvey said that the site will be a "fresh, new retail destination" with more than a dozen new stores and restaurants, all new to Eldersburg.
