Despite rumors of closing in the near future, Big Lots located in the Carrolltown Mall will not be shutting down anytime soon. 

“We are not going anywhere right now,” said a store manager Thursday, adding that the store still has about two years left on their lease.

Big Lots has two locations in the county with a store in Westminster as well.

The talk of other stores possibly closing comes after the announcement of neighboring stores Peebles and Blockbuster closing early next year.

Peebles will close on Jan. 21, while Blockbuster plans on shutting down on Feb. 19.
