Eldersburg and Sykesville Today: March 13

Read these five things to stay on top of local news and get you prepared for the day.

 

1. Board of Education Meeting

The Carroll County Board of Education is holding an open session meeting in the Charles I. Ecker Boardroom at the Board of Education Offices at 5 p.m. tomorrow. Find details on the meeting's agenda here

2. Babes in the Woods

Piney Run Park is holding a nature program for preschoolers age three and their Mom, Dad, Grandparent or other adult at 10 a.m. today. The program will include outdoor and indoor activities, crafts, songs and stories. 

3. South Carroll Lacrosse

The South Carroll High School girls lacrosse teams host Damascus High School for a scrimmage tonight: 

  • 3:30 p.m. Girls varsity scrimmage
  • 4:45 p.m. Girls JV scrimmage

4. Yo-Yo Club

The Eldersburg Library is holding a Yo-Yo Club for ages 7-adult at 7 p.m. tonight. Participants are asked to bring their favorite Yo-Yo to learn and practice tricks. 

5. Today's Forecast

The National Weather Service calls for a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. with a high near 74 degrees this afternoon, changing to mostly clear skies with a low of around 47 degrees this evening.
