Eldersburg and Sykesville Today: March 2

1. Basket Bingo Fundraiser

The Century High School Class of 2013 is hosting a Bag and Basket Bingo benefit tonight with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and games beginning at 7 p.m. The event includes 20 games, 2 specials, raffles and more. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Find more information about the event here

2. Girls Basketball

Century Girls Varsity Basketball team plays Poolesville Friday at 7p.m. at Century High School. It is the first time in the school's history that girls team has advanced this far into the regional competition. Find more information on the fame here

3. Honk Jr. at Carrolltowne Elementary

Carrolltowne Elementary School hosts the opening night of their play "Honk Jr." tonight at 7 p.m. Find more information on purchasing tickets for the performance here

4. Maryland Wine Festival Poster Design Competition

The Carroll County Farm Museum is hosting the Maryland Wine Festival 2012 post design competition. The winning artist will receive a $1,000 cash prize. Find more information on the competition here

5. Today's Forecast

The National Weather Service calls for a 60 percent chance of showers with a high near 56 degrees this afternoon, changing to a 70 percent chance of showers with a low of around 44 degrees this evening.
