Eldersburg and Sykesville Today: March 4

Read these five things to stay on top of local news and get you prepared for the day.

 

1. Youth Art Month Reception

Carroll Community College will host, Youth Art Month: Carroll County Public High Schools, in the Langdon Gallery today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event features art from county high school students.

2. Maple Sugarin' Festival

The annual Maple Sugarin' festival takes place today from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. featuring maple syrup demonstrations and tastings and a maple syrup and pancake brunch available all day. Find more information on the event here

3. Honk Jr. 

Carrolltowne Elementary School presents their spring production Honk Jr. today at 2 p.m. Find more information on how to purchase tickets to the production here

4. Home and Garden Show

The Maryland Home and Garden Show takes place at the Maryland State Fairgrounds today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $3 for kids ages 6-12, and free for children under 6 years old. Admission to the Maryland Spring Craft Show is $6. Find more 

5. Today's Forecast

The National Weather Service calls for partly sunny skies with a high near 49 degrees this afternoon, changing to mostly cloudy skies with a low of around 29 degrees this evening.
