Eew. These people keep the cycle of abuse towards children active. Even if there aren't active engagements with children, it allows the industry to thrive.....meaning children continue to be abused. Let's hope he doesn't have access to computers in prison!

Chances are he was abused as a kid. It's really sad that there seems to be no help for people like this. I'm sure he'd rather not be a paedophile. I do hope Mr. Markle can find some healing in his own life.

People like this make me sick, he needs to be sentenced to life! Whether he was abused as a kid or not, he still has no right to do this. He has problems and needs to be kept away from all children and the only way of doing this is keeping him behind bars forever. These pictures were of someone's children, how would you like it if you found out it was your child? Those innocent children are now victims of his disgusting acts. He doesn't deserve an explanation for his acts, he is a sick, sick person!

Perhaps if he were initially given a real sentence he wouldn't have been back out so soon to continue his sick lifestyle. A slap on the wrist is laughable. Par for this county.

I am sorry that I accidentally deleted my comment. Again, if Mr. Markle is guilty this second time he should be given the maximum sentence. Abused children don't have a choice.

Child abuse is something that should not be tolerated. If Mr. Markie is set free, he should be wearing an ankle bracelet and have a restrictive order not to be around children. This seems to be a disease of the mind that we have not yet found a cure for. Rehabilitation does not seem to work and only restraints which can be enforced or incarceration seems to be the only way to protect our youth.

The crap of giving people a slap on the wrist (1 year sentence) the first time for a serious offense, especially when it's something like this where the chance of a repeat offense is high, is ridiculous. You know there's more to this than just pictures. This is just the only thing he's been caught for doing. Unfortunately, I actually knew this man and no too much about this whole story. I'm extremely disappointed with the justice here.

As a parent and former educator, I feel repulsed yet pitying. I understand Mr. Markle was abused as a child, but the cycle cannot be allowed to continue with other children. God, 10 years maximum. He's a talented man--what a waste. Family and friends stood by him, hoping he could beat the odds on the high rate of recidivism. May they heal quickly, and may he (and so many others like him) get the help they need.
