Lawrence Rezabek won $50,000 playing the Maryland State Lottery.

A Sykesville man moved back to Maryland just in time to purchase a lucky ticket.

Lawrence Rezabek, 63, picked up his $50,000 check Thursday from Maryland State Lottery Headquarters after picking the right numbers at the right time in Bonus Match 5, according to a Maryland State Lottery press release.

The winning ticket was purchased at Tobacco Stop in Eldersburg. Rezabek returned to the store three days after his purchase to find out that he was a winner.
