Webb posted $50,000 bond for the charges in the Jan. 6 incident and $25,000 bond for charges in the Jan. 4 incident, according to court documents. He was released from the Carroll County Detention Center on Jan. 15.

On Jan. 6, 2012 at about 6:45 a.m., police said Webb entered the Quick Stop Food Mart at 7400 Village Road in Sykesville, and threatened the store clerk verbally. He then used a baseball bat to strike the clerk several times before fleeing the store.

An "alert" citizen, according to police, tackled the suspect as he fled the store, but was unable to stop him. The citizen was able to write down the license plate number of the car the suspect was driving, which aided in the investigation.

Police said Webb stole an undetermined amount of Maryland Lottery scratch-off tickets. The store clerk was treated and released from Carroll Hospital Center with non-life threatening injuries.
