Monroe Barber Shop Owner Dies, Store Remains Open

This corrects an earlier Patch story reporting that the business had closed.

Editor's note: A previously published Patch article stated incorrectly that the shop had closed.

Monroe Beauty and Barber Shop, located in the Monroe Shopping Center in Eldersburg remains open on Liberty Road after closing temporarily.

Winnie Bullock, the shop’s owner, died Oct. 14 after having worked as a barber for 55 years.

The local business owner also played lead guitar in his band The Country Ramblers.

Services at the barbershop located on Liberty Road, include men’s, women’s and children's haircuts, professional hair styling and hair texturing, among other services.

Hate to disagree with your "source" at the cleaners, nut I had my hair cut at the Monroe barber shop Friday morning December 30th. Same barbers as in the past.
Maybe it's time to get your "fact checker" fired up and possibly contact the owner of the shop and find out the whole story.
Thanks and Happy New Year!

I am really confused. I went to the Barber Shop On Thursday and waited until 8:30 and no one showed up. When I called the telephone number on the window it "was not in service".
