New Athletic House Location Closes Suddenly
The team sports/screen printing and embroidery operation will remain open.
Sporting goods store, Athletic House closed suddenly this week following contract issues.
The explanation from Athletic House states the following.
“Valued Customers: Effective immediately our retail operation has been closed due to an unexpected Tenant/Landlord contract dispute. This literally came out of left field on Thursday via a letter from UPS. Our team sports/screen printing and embroidery operation continues to run and is not effected by this issue. If you have orders currently in the works, they will continue to proceed as normal.”
Athletic House moved out of its Sykesville location off of Competitive Goals Drive in June 2010 and moved next door to the new Carrolltown Liquors in the Carroll Station Shopping Center on Liberty Road.
While the retail location is closed, the printing and embroidery operation is still open and accepting orders.

That is really a shame. The people at Athletic House are terrific corporate citizens in the community. They are quick to contribute to comunity concerns. I sincerely hope that the Athletic House re-opens their retail store in the Eldersburg area. We need businesses like Athletic House and people like Mr. Gursky in our community.

Carl, I agree. Grant has always been the first person to support local teams and events, like the Taste of Eldersburg. The Athletic House does great work!
