Sykesville Taekwondo is fabulous! They have a great goal setting program that clearly explains the expectations to reach the next level. The instructors are wonderful with the perfect mix of fun and seriousness. I recommend this school not only for individuals but for families to join as a group.

Tristar Martial Arts is a great place to train! Martial arts is so much more than just kicking and punching. Kids gain the confidence to handle peer pressure and stand up to bullies as well the focus and self-discipline to excel in school. They also learn how to avoid and protect themselves in stranger related self defense situations. Families can train together as well. Adults learn effective self defense and benefit from stress relief and weight loss. I love Tristar and wouldn't train anywhere else!

My family has trained at Tristar Martial Arts in Eldersburg for over 4 years now and there are almost too many positive things to say about them in such a short testimonial. Tristar provides a wonderful family environment full of great training that my entire family enjoys.
We have learned valuable self defense skills that have given us confidence in our abilities to protect ourselves. Our physical fitness levels are much improved and in general we feel much better because we get regular professionally guided workouts. The instructors are awesome - well trained and just great people. Our training provides stress relief. Our classes give us time each week that we simply focus on ourselves. No matter how challenging and difficult our day has been, we always feel better after a class at Tristar Martial Arts. Tristar has also taught us how to set and achieve goals more effectively. This spills over into our everyday lives - at work and at school.
The life lessons taught such as perseverance in all things, not just in physical challenges, are invaluable. We think of Tristar and our training partners as our extended family. We have developed a wonderful network of life-long friends that are very supportive both inside and outside of the dojo. So if you are looking for the best place to train in Carroll County check out Tristar Martial Arts - you can’t go wrong!

Tristar Martial Arts is more than just a place to learn martial arts, it's a family. Having spent the vast majority of my life as a student there, I can honestly say that there's not a place in the world I'd rather spend my time. From the Little Ninja learning things like how to introduce themselves and protect themselves from strangers all the way up to adults learning how to defend themselves in dangerous conflicts, more is taught than fitness. Concentration, self discipline, and respect are taught to all students. I have been fortunate to be part of such a wonderful family of fellow martial artists and there's nothing in the world I would trade it for. Go Tristar!

Tristar is an amazing place to train, you become part of a family my kids trained almost from day 1 in Westminster. The owners and staff build character not just teach someone to fight.

Tristar Martial Arts is hands down the best martial arts school in Carroll County. My son started training there when he was 5 years-old to give him confidence. My wife and I checked a few other local schools and even had our son take introductory lessons at different ones. We felt that the Tristar staff and environment to be the most positive and caring of them all. Tristar has been one of the best things to ever happen to me and my family. We love the staff and students of Tristar like our own family.

Sykesville Tae Kwon Do is definitely the best, they are real and teach real self defense. They don't strive for quantity, but quality unlike other schools.
