In this week's "Readers' Choice" contest, 1,498 voters cast their ballots for the best gym in Eldersburg and Sykesville.

And the winner is: Athens Health Club, receiving 739 votes in the contest. 

One commentor said that the instructors at Athens are, "extremely knowledgeable and can modify any exercise to fit your need. The trainers really take the time to personalize your workouts to fit your goals. Everyone is very friendly and willing to lend a hand."

Merritt Athletic Club came in second place with 343 votes. 

When it comes to smaller gyms, Freedom Fitness was the choice with 273 votes and 11 shout outs in the comment section.
