Starbucks to Replace K Bank in Eldersburg

Does the area need another Starbucks?

Starbucks will be moving into the K Bank building, located next door to Arby's restaurant, off of Route 26 in Eldersburg.

Currently there is a Starbucks inside the Safeway grocery store located in the Londontown Shopping Center.

Does Eldersburg need two Starbucks Coffee stores located within such close proximity of one another? What are your thoughts?

I think a Starbucks that's easily accessible for drivers would be good. People who don't regularly shop at Safeway may not even be aware of the Starbucks inside the store. Good idea.

I also think this will provide a good meeting point. While the Safeway Starbucks is convenient while shopping, it really does not have the atmosphere to hold a meeting or to just hang out & catch up with friends.

I think a "drive-thru" option would be appealing, although the interior design of the stand-alones has never felt that warm or inviting!

First off, what took so long to break this news? I saw this developing at least a week ago. Second, you can't count a Safeway starbucks as a real Starbucks, they don't even accept Stbx gift cards. Now can someone tell me what the red-roofed building next to Mr Tire on 26 will be? I see some work starting.

I think the Red-roofed building is going to be the new home of the karate place that's currently near CVS.

The Red roof building is going to me the NEW location for Tristar Martial Arts. It's the old old Hardies building. Also Safeway Starbucks DOES accept Starbucks gift cards. I always buy my coffee there with my gift card. Just press "Gift card" on the credit card payment machine.

How about a Chic Fil A. Guess it's already in the works, so too late for that thought....Don't care for Starbuck's, the coffee is too strong and costs way too much.

Personally I'm happy to see a nice business like Starbucks instead of the ugly abandoned building.

A drive thru with the atmosphere of Mt Airy or Westminster's Starbucks...a nice place to just meet up with someone or sit and read the paper. About time Eldersburg! Now we just need another restaurant and maybe a Target/Trader Joes to take over Carrolltown Mall
