The Sykesville Main Street Association has announced its First Annual SYK Awards honoring the volunteers who have helped build the organization. 

The Town of Sykesville Mayor and Council Members, Commissioner Doug Howard, The Sykesville Main Street Board of Directors, town staff, Captain Mike Blair and many volunteers attended the event Saturday evening.

The Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to Al McEvoy. Others were honored for their contributions and partnerships.
