Commissioner Doug Howard will host a Town Hall Meeting tonight at the South Carroll Senior Center located, 5928 Mineral Hill Road in Eldersburg at 7 p.m.

Law Enforcement will be the primary focus of tonight's meeting, with representatives from the Sheriff’s Department providing information on the policing efforts currently in place in the Eldersburg/Sykesville area.

This Town Hall Meeting will be the first in a series of 8 monthly meetings designed to keep District 5 residents informed about issues facing the South Carroll area, according to a news release.

Each month Commissioner Howard will review issues facing the county and their impact on District 5. Other organizations will also provide updates and information that are facing their organizations and the area.

Organizations of interest will be offered an opportunity to provide updates during future meetings including the Sheriff's Department, the Sykesville Fire Company, the Town of Sykesville, FACC, the Freedom Optimist Club, SCBA or others are welcome.
