Spring 2013 begins next week, on March 20, but temperatures Friday will have that not-quite-winter, not-quite-spring feel, according to the National Weather Service.
Friday, expect cloudy skies and temperatures reaching the mid-50s. There’s a 40 percent chance of rain or snow late Friday night, with temperatures in the mid-30s.
Saturday will bring rain, snow and sleet; there’s an 80 percent chance of precipitation during the day and we could see up to a half inch. Temperatures will reach the low-40s during the day.
There’s a 60 percent chance that the rain will continue into Saturday night, when temperatures drop to the low-30s.
No rain is in the forecast during the day Sunday, just partly sunny skies with highs in the low-40s, dropping to the mid-30s at night. There is, however, a 30 percent chance of rain and snow before 2 a.m.
Monday, two days before the first day of spring, there is 50 percent a chance of rain and snow in the morning, turning to rain as temperatures rise to the low-40s.
