Springfield Presbyterian Church is in its fifth year of concerts in our location. The next concert in the series will be the Fugitive Brass Quintet on December 9th at 3:00 pm.
Following is the way the quintet describes itself on the web page www.fugitivebrass.com "The Fugitive Brass Quintet was created in 1995 by brass musicians from the Washington, D.C. area. We have performed for numerous musical venues including concerts, weddings, church services, parties, holiday outings, and many public and private performances, and we offer a large repertoire that allows us to tailor our musical performances to a wide range of events. While our group members enjoy Classical, Jazz, Baroque, Broadway, Dixieland, and many other music styles, our instrumentation is traditional for a brass quintet: two trumpets, a French horn, a trombone, and a tuba."
The group will be playing a mix of classical, holiday, secular and sacred music. Admission is free but, as usual we will collect a free will offering. There will be a nice reception after the concert. Please come and bring a friend for a lovely afternoon of music and good food!
