Easy Rest Adjustable Bed Company Sponsoring Golf Tournament to Benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation

Registration Open for Golfers in Baltimore and Washington, DC Area to Play in Tournament and Help Raise Funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation

Baltimore, Maryland – August 16, 2013 -  As part of its commitment to make a significant impact on the community, Easy Rest Adjustable Sleep Systems, manufacturers of the Easy Rest Adjustable Bed, is sponsoring the 14th Annual Chad Blum Memorial Charities Golf Tournament to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic on Friday, September 20, 2013.  The tournament will be played at The Links at Challedon in Mount Airy, Maryland.  Registration is now open and golfers from the Washington, DC/Baltimore region are invited to participate in this fun and meaningful day.

On the day of the tournament the registration desk will open at 11 am with free range balls for the driving range and putting green.  The tournament begins with a Shotgun start at 1:00 pm and finishes with a traditional Maryland Crab Feast and awards banquet.  Raffles, prize giveaways, golf contests and golfer goodie bags are all included as part of the golf registration.  Officials at the Mid-Atlantic office of the Make-A-Wish Foundation call this tournament the best organized and most meaningful fundraising event held on their behalf every year.  Interested golfers can register online at www.chadblumcharities.com or by calling Steve Mowrey at 410-746-9991.

“Thanks to everyone’s gracious support over the years, our ‘grass roots’ charity has donated more than $190,000 to the Make A Wish Foundation, which has helped to grant the wishes of 30 children”, stated Steve Mowrey, President of Chad Blum Memorial Charities. “That’s truly remarkable!  Our hope is to get enough support this year so we can grant wishes to at least three children who face life-threatening medical conditions and whose families endure countless hospital visits and overwhelming hardships.  You don’t have to be a good golfer to play in our tournament.  In fact, most of us are pretty average,” he added.

Easy Rest Adjustable Sleep Systems has a long-standing relationship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  For the past fourteen years the Mowrey family has organized this annual fundraiser, sponsored by Easy Rest, for the Mid-Atlantic chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  In 1996, their niece was granted the wish of an all-expense paid week in Disney World with her family.  When their stepbrother was killed in a car accident the following year the family started the tournament in his name.  Easy Rest employees, distributors and business partners across the country support the effort and participate in the tournament alongside friends and family each year.
