Maryland SportsCare & Rehab Kicks Off Scholastic Sports Medicine Outreach Program for Hundreds of Regional Athletes

WESTMINSTER, MD., September 5, 2013Maryland SportsCare & Rehab, kicks off the fall season as the official sports medicine provider from high schools across the region. Alongside local athletes and coaches the Maryland SportsCare & Rehab Sports Medicine Outreach Program will deploy over 25 ATCs to high schools throughout Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. The ATCs serve as the first line of defense against injury for hundreds of high school athletes from throughout the region.

“We provide convenient and timely care on the field to address the injury and to ensure a proper recovery, so that each athlete can return to their highest competitive level,” says Brad Stickler, ATC, PTA and Sports Medicine Coordinator at Maryland SportsCare & Rehab.

A successful season is a team effort both on and off the field. It is crucial that athletes have behind the scenes support so that they can focus on playing the game and enjoying healthy competition. The Program provides coverage for all after-school practices and home games, across all sports and levels of play.

“The relationship between Carroll County Schools and Maryland SportsCare & Rehab grows stronger every year.  Their commitment to our students ensures individualized medical attention at the time of injury,” says Randy Rentz, Athletic Director at Century High School. “Safety is my highest priority and Maryland SportsCare & Rehab shares that focus. For the over 300 fall athletes at Century High School, the relationship between the players, coaches, parents and ATCs, is vital to a successful season.”

By serving thousands of student-athletes throughout each school year, Maryland SportsCare & Rehab positions itself as an industry leader and community partner. In addition to partnering with area high schools they also provide coverage and support for numerous youth groups, universities, clubs and organizations.
