Rockin’ the Cause is a fun, family-friendly, interactive musical entertainment event featuring popular crowd-pleasing hits, raffles, treats, and more. During this concert, the JoeyDCares Rock Orchestra will perform their popular mix of Rock, Pop, Motown and Jazz favorites and will feature several songs new to the orchestra. They perform songs from artists like Journey, U2, Cold Play, The Beatles, Taylor Swift, Chicago, Michael Jackson, Van Halen, James Brown and many more. The concert is interactive and entertaining for both adults and kids alike!

The JoeyDCares Rock Orchestra is a community group of students and adults who perform concerts for charities. They feature incredibly talented vocalists and a wide variety of talented instrumentalists, from violins to tubas to electric guitars, saxophones and more. Every year the JoeyDCares Rock Orchestra produces their signature Rockin’ the Cause concert, an exciting performance hosted by the orchestra with a goal of raising a substantial amount of money for a chosen charity.

In both 2012 and 2013, the JoeyDCares Rock Orchestra’s annual Rockin’ the Cause concert raised over $10,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project.  This year the orchestra decided to support a local charity with their signature concert, and their membership voted to support the Nathan Chris Baker Foundation in Sykesville.

The Nathan Chris Baker Foundation was created in memory of Nate Baker of Sykesville.  The Nathan Chris Baker Foundation supports communities, families and individuals in need. Their vision is to empower communities with the strength, resources, and hope needed to Go Out and Be Great.

The Nathan Chris Baker Foundation has supported others through a wide variety of efforts: They have distributed care packages to individuals and families experiencing emotional and physical hardships; provided scholarships to children for local sports programs; provided financial assistance for the adoption process to unite orphans with their forever families; and helped build playgrounds for the community.  Their newest project is Days of Greatness, where they give families or individuals who are struggling (for example a family battling a disease) a fun and memorable day out to give them a chance to put their troubles aside, cherish some special time together, and get a break from reality.

The JoeyDCares Rock Orchestra is proud to support the Nathan Chris Baker Foundation with their Rockin’ the Cause 2014 concert event.
