Alert: Road Closed Briefly Saturday for Sweetheart Run
Traffic delays are expected briefly Saturday afternoon as a charity run takes place in Sykesville.
On Saturday, Feb. 23 at approximately 1:30 p.m., the area of Main Street, Springfield Avenue, Jeroby Road and Village Road in Sykesville could experience minor traffic delays due to the Sweetheart 5K charity run hosted by the Eldersburg Rogue Runners.
The event includes pre-run fun to help runners choose their partners. Or runners can bring a partner. Only partnered pairs are eligible to win. Partners must cross the finish line together and no watches, headphones or electronics are allowed.
Partnership selection will take place at 12:30 p.m. and the race is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. at Baldwin's Station.

The $40 registration fee includes a t-shirt, post race food and a complimentary glass of beer or wine. Water will be provided.
All Proceeds will go to the Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation.
