Sykesville Paving To Close Roads For Up to 10 Days

Repaving and patching may interrupt traffic in Carroll County.

Paving in Sykesville will close some roads and cause some travel delays for the next week to 10 days.

According to a notice from the Town of Sykesville, road work began Monday morning, and will involve the milling and repaving of the following roads:

  • Second Avenue from Central Avenue to Manor Drive
  • O'Brecht Road from Norris Avenue to ball field parking area
  • Norwood Avenue from Oklahoma Avenue to the Northern Terminus
  • Oklahoma Avenue from Bolder Court to Second Avenue
Other roads in the area may be patched during the project. 

The town said the work is expected to take seven to 10 days, weather permitting.
