Art is a Sweet Treat at the 4th Annual PEEP Show

Fill your hunger for local art at The Carroll Arts Center in Westminster during its sugary fundraiser.

The Carroll Arts Center’s PEEP show is an exhibition showcasing fluffy, sugar-coated marshmallow PEEPS in various art forms.  Once only seen as an Easter candy, PEEPS have taken on a whole new dimension as sticky sculptures and dioramas created by local artists, school groups and businesses.

This event is the second largest fundraiser for the Carroll Arts Center. According to Tabetha White of the Carroll Arts Center, over 200 registrations were received for the show.

Visitors can lend support to their favorite work of art by purchasing vote chips. Entries receiving the most vote chips will be awarded trophies adorned with a large PEEP and prize packages filled with PEEP items.

Prizes have already been awarded in categories such as “Best use of a single PEEP” and “Best play on words.” These artistic category winners were decided by Carroll Arts Center staff and board members.

In addition to buying vote chips, PEEP themed souvenirs can be purchased.  Many of the PEEP masterpieces are also for sale at a set price, with all proceeds going to the Arts Center.
