Grilled Cheese & Co. Now Offering Milkshakes in Former Scoops Location

Missing Scoops? Grilled Cheese & Co. is hoping to fill the void left by the former ice cream shop.

According owner Vic Corbi, in Sykesville has "the scoop" on what Southern Carroll County needs next.

The popular sandwich shop took a step towards summer Wednesday, now offering old fashioned handspun milkshakes only at the Sykesville location. 

"We realized that there was a real need for milkshakes in the Eldersburg/Sykesville market," said Corbi. "Adding milkshakes was natural for us. It's a classic comfort food."

The decision to add ice cream to the menu came in part from the former shop located . 

"The previous tenant did pretty well with ice cream and we still have a lot of people that come down here not realizing that The Scoop is gone. In fact we are going to use Hershey's Ice Cream just like The Scoop offered."

The milkshakes are being tested at the Sykesville location and will be offered in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. 

"We are excited and can't wait to see how the community receives our delicious milkshakes," said Corbi.
