Sykesville Chili & Beer Festival Set For Sunday

The second annual festival, hosted by the Sykesville Main Street Association, will be held Sept. 8.

The Sykesville Main Street Association's second annual Chili and Beer Festival is scheduled for Sept. 8.

According to an association news release, the event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on the second Sunday of the month. It will be held in the Sandosky parking lot behind E.W. Becks Pub, the release said.

Many local brews will be among the 15 on hand, and chili from 17 entries—including restaurants like E.W. Becks, Baldwins Station, GL Shacks, Oscar's Alehouse and Captain Dan's Seafood Restaurant—will be available, as well. 

The $30 entry cost includes 12 beer samples, including a mug, and $5 for chili, the release said.

The event also features 20 crafters and live music from Soulflower and John Rousey and the Revelators, the release said.
