Air Quality Alert in Effect for Carroll County July 18

Limiting outdoor activities is advised by the Department of the Environment.

The Maryland Department of the Environment has issued a Code Orange Air Quality alert for Carroll County.

A Code Orange Air Quality alert means area air pollution may become unhealthy for the elderly and those suffering from asthma, heart disease and other lung diseases. 

Limiting outdoor activities and strenuous exercise can help reduce risk of air-related sickness, according to the Department of the Environment.
