Gallery: Sykesville Fire Dept.'s Annual Carnival
The Sykesville Freedom Area Fire Department launched its annual fundraiser Monday.
The annual carnival and fundraiser held by the is under way, and there's still plenty of chances to get in on the fun.
The carnival runs from Monday to Saturday this week, with grounds opening at 6 p.m and rides beginning at 7 p.m. The carnival closes every night at 11 p.m.
According to the fire department website, the following schedule remains:

Wednesday
- Country/rock performance by "Roll the Dice"
- Sykesville ambassador contest
- All-night ride wristband cost $17.
Thursday

- Country performance by "The McDuffees"
- All-night ride wristband cost $17.
Friday
- Country Performance by "Inside Out"
- Fireworks display (rain date is Saturday night)
- Kids contest to set off the fireworks
- All-night ride wristband cost $20.
Saturday
- A '50s and 60's music performance by "Cam and the Lifters"
- $6,000 Give-A-Way raffle
- All-night ride wristband cost $20.
