Carroll Child Care Center Receives Weinberg Foundation Grant

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation awarded the Carroll Child Care Center a multi-year grant.

Carroll Child Care Center is the recipient of a two‐year, $15,000 per year Maryland Small Grant from the The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation to provide sliding scale tuition relief for families in need. The Center must match the award with new donations before funds will be released.

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation is one of the nation’s largest private foundations, distributing approximately $100 million each year to a wide range of charitable organizations that provide direct services to financially disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals.

Each year, the Center serves more than 100 children between the ages of six weeks and 10 years. Approximately 75 percent of Center families receive tuition assistance, according to a news release.
