Carroll County Dutch Picnic Celebrates 135 Years
Trinity Lutheran Church holds festival on first Saturday of August.
People have gathered under the trees along Deer Park Road on the first Saturday in August for more than 100 years and this weekend was no different.
The Dutch Picnic Festival sponsored by Trinity Lutheran Church celebrated its 135 year on Saturday. The first festival was held in 1877.
The festival offers crafts, food, children's activities and entertainment. This year the crowd listened to Blaine Brown-DJ, Damascus Road Trio, Little "Dutch" Band, Trinity’s "Rise Up Praise Band!" band and the Glade Valley Travelers.
