Carroll County Humane Society: Animals in Search of a Home

These pets are available for adoption at the Carroll County Humane Society.

Emma is a seven-month-old female mixed breed dog. She is medium-sized with a lot of energy.

Martyn is a two-year-old neutered male cat. He is often a "lounge about" type of cat, and it is recommeded that there are no dogs in the house.

Megan is a eight-month-old spayed female mixed breed dog. Adopted as a stray, Megan had problems with one of her back legs, so the veterinarian amputated the leg. She is, however, perfectly healthy otherwise and is a friendly dog for all ages.

Pocky is a seven-year-old male Corgi mix dog. Pocky loves going for car rides and needs a lot of time outside. He is also slightly shy so it is recommended that he go to a home with older children.

Sweet Pea is a three-year-old female cat. She is playful and often is seen "stalking" around her cage.

My dog Thumper (so named because she initially kept hiding behind couch and all we would hear is her tail thumping against wall), is now 9 years old. We got her from Carroll Cty when she was about 6 months. She had been abused and recognized me as her Mom when I first got her. Thank you for giving me such joy in my life. She was there when I got cancer, she was there when my son died, she was there when God cured my cancer (after 7 years and He healed me), and you can best say it - She was there with me - always, and always loving me (although she still turns traitor if someone offers her a treat;) Anyway, fill your life and adopt a new family member - you will never regret it!
