Carroll County Schools Closed Today and Other Weather Related News
A wintry weather mix is expected to continue throughout the day.
Carroll County Public Schools are closed today due to inclement weather according to an email alert from the school system.
Other closings/delays include:
- McDaniel College is closed
- Gerstell is on a two hour delay
- Carroll Lutheran School is on a two hour delay according to WTTR
- Carroll Area Transit System (CATS) is closed
- Carroll County Circuit Court is opening at 10:30 a.m. according to WBALTV
Carroll County was issued a winter weather advisory yesterday afternoon, to continue through 6 p.m. this evening.

The Snow Emergency Plan is in effect as of 6 a.m. Monday in Carroll County.
The Maryland State Police (MSP) declares snow emergencies with input from the MD State Highway Administration. Once a snow emergency is declared, the law requires certain precautions which include prohibited parking on roads and streets designated as snow emergency routes and the use of snow or all weather tires.
