Exploring Issues in Eldersburg: Carrolltown Mall -- "I think the whole area should be leveled. Then put in an 'Avenue'-type shopping area including a nice movie theater, like the one in White Marsh. It's a very depressing area of the community as it stands now. And since it's right on 26, it's what you see first of Eldersburg." Cathy Healy

Eldersburg Kmart Saved in First Round of Cuts -- “Black Oak Associates seems content on letting K-Mart remain and the hollow shell of Carrolltown Mall to continue to decay around it. Let's hope the 'Super K' is included in the second round of cuts.” - EBurger

-- "I don't know it to be true, but I was told that K-Mart has some super cheap lease for many years to come that makes this store profitable no matter what. Not much incentive to renovate. The mall is on prime property and needs to be managed with an eye to the future needs of this ever-changing community. As it stands, it is anything but inviting." John G

Police Search for Five Suspects in Christmas Eve Assault -- "It's a shame that is happening in Westminster now... we just to read about all that in the City, then in all Pikesville... then in Reisterstown... now all the way to Westminster... I hope the bus line never gets even close to Westminster area...it brings the worse from the City." Eric G
