1. Carroll County Commissioner Meetings

The Board of County Commissioners have two open meetings scheduled today, covering the following agenda items: 

  • The agenda will include: public comment, appointment of Tax Collector, request for approval of the local Government Insurance Trust amended and restated Trust Agreement, transfer of funds for FY 12 fringe benefits allocation, review and approval of town/county agreement for the Town of Mt. Airy, award for the State's Attorney Office from the Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention for training and equipment and discussion of the tourism/celebrating America Task Force.
  •  The agenda will include: public comment, a presentation of Access Carroll business plan and Maryland Access Point Expansion Grant Welcome Home Housing Program.

4. Parks and Recreation Meeting

The Town of Sykesville Parks and Recreation committee meets tonight at 7 p.m. in the Town House. 

5. Today's Forecast

The National Weather Service calls for mostly cloudy skies with a high near 59 degrees this afternoon, changing to a 90 percent chance of showers in the evening with a low of around 42 degrees.
