1. Donate Your Mittens and Gloves

This holiday season marks the 28th year that the Carroll County Library has provided holiday help to our neighbors in need. Each branch has a Corky's Mitten Tree named after the library's penguin mascot. Patrons can hang store-bought or homemade donations on the tree. Items collected will be donated to local charitable organizations through Jan. 6. 

2. It's National Playing Card Day

The Westminster Library is hosting a featuring classic card games, card tricks and card tower building at 2 p.m. today. The program is open to all ages.

4. 29th Annual Train Display

The Pleasant Valley Community Fire Company is holding their 29th annual train diplay today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Find more information here.

The National Weather Service calls for mostly sunny skies with a high near 42 degrees in the afternoon, changing to mostly clear skies with a low of around 24 degrees this evening.
