1. Carroll County Open Session Meeting

The Carroll County Board of Commissioners is in Room 311 of the County Office Building today at 1:30 p.m. The agenda includes:

  • Public Comment
  • Request for approval for purchase of one new step van for Carroll County Public Library
  • Bid approval - Rental servicing of portable toilets
  • Adoption of proposed ordinance amendment to code of local public laws - Chapter 179, Sewer and water
  • Bulk water rates
  • Bid approval - Clipper Hills - Gardenia - Stormwater management pond retrofit
  • Review and approval of grant application for Homeless Women's Crisis Shelter Program

3.  Warfield Meeting - Save the Date

The Warfield Development Corporation will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 8 a.m. at the Sykesville Town House. The meeting is open to the public. For more information contact Matthew Candland at 410-795-6390 or mcandland@sykesville.net.

4. Story Pals

The Westminster Library is holding a theme-based storytime for ages 2-3 featuring stories, songs, fingerplays and activities today at 10 a.m. Find more information here

5. Today's Forecast

The National Weather Service calls for mostly sunny skies with a high near 60 degrees this afternoon, changing to a low of around 39 degrees this evening.
