1. Warfield Development Meeting Rescheduled
The Warfield Development Corporation meeting scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 4 was rescheuled for Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 8 a.m. at the Sykesville Town House. The meeting is open to the public. For more information, contact Matthew Candland at 410-795-6390 or email mcandland@sykesville.net.

3. Winter Birding Expedition

Dave Harvey of the Carroll County Ornithological Society is leading a winter birding expedition at Piney Run Park for ages 9 through adult starting at 8:30 a.m. After the hike a pancake breakfast will be served. Participants are encoraged to bring binoculars and field guides.
4. Evening Hike at Bear Branch
The Bear Branch Nature Center is holding an evening hike for ages 10 through adult to search for creatures that stalk their prey in the winter night.
5. Today's Forecast
The National Weather Service calls for mostly sunny skies with a high near 52 degrees this afternoon, changing to mostly clear skies this evening with a low of around 32 degrees.
