Flash Flood Warning in Effect for Southern Carroll County

Excessive rainfall could cause flooding in the area, according to The National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning in effect for the South Carroll area until 2:15 a.m. Tuesday. 

Rainfall of more than two inches is expected overnight and could cause flooding in small creeks and streams, according to NOAA.

The rainfall is expected to continue Tuesday morning and afternoon, with an additional inch of rain possible.

The weather service urges residents to be cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. 

Move to higher ground to escape flood waters and do not stay in areas subject to flooding when waters start to rise.
