Itching to get out of the house but it’s too hot to hang outside? Stop by Eldersburg Branch Library for fun events and activities. Patch picked the best activities for adults and children. Our list for adults, compiled from Eldersburg Library, is below:


Dig into your Family History 
July 8 at 7 p.m.

Discover your ancestors! Basic genealogy research steps will be covered as well as an overview of national, regional, and local resources, including useful Internet sites.

Garden Craft Party
July 9 at 7 p.m.

Thinking of hosting a garden party on a summer night, or possibly just sitting out on the deck and enjoying the evening breeze? Join us for our garden party as we make a few crafts that can be used the next time you're entertaining and enjoying the outdoors. Registration began June 25. Call 410-386-4488 for more information.

Crafting with Old Books
July 18 and August 15 at 6:30 p.m.

Honor old books by giving them new life. This fun craft program will demonstrate how to rescue and repurpose your old books and turn them into art objects or practical items for your home. All materials will be furnished for this free make it/take it program. Registration begins July 4. Call 410-386-4488 for more information


Silk Road Gourmet
July 20 at 2 p.m.

From the shores of the Black Sea to the sands of the Pacific, the foods enjoyed along the Silk Road whisper tales of connections between the cultures and regions of Asia. Join author Laura Kelly as she shares her unique cookbook and recipes. Refreshments will be served.
