Happy Birthday Eldersburg Patch!

This site is a reflection of everyone in the neighborhood. Thank you for making it what it is today, and for your continued support as it evolves into tomorrow.

A year ago Eldersburg Patch went live, launching into the community.

It's been a great year getting to know Eldersburg and bringing local news right to your fingertips. But it's not without your help and I'm grateful for your comments, suggestions and input as readers.

It's been a busy year, but a great one at that. I've enjoyed exploring issues in the area, meeting hundreds of residents at the annual Sykesville Fall Festival, covering the award winning schools in the area, including , the transformation of the and following the .

This is all in addition to the work of our sports editor who has been busy at work following everything sports in Eldersburg and Sykesville.

With the ability to post your own announcements and events (and email me, I'll put them on the homepage!) with polls and forums, conversations and columnists and letters to the editor, I hope you come to think of it as your online news site.
