Lions Club Awards Scholarships to Young Students With Diabetes

The Lions Club holds a week-long camp for children with diabetes.

Joe Self, Freedom District Lions Club Diabetes Awareness Chair, presented a check for their campership fund from the Lions District 22W to District Diabetes Awareness Co-Chair Tom Harney at the Freedom District Lions Club meeting on Jan. 11.

Grace Kulp, a young girl with diabetes attended the Lion camp for children with her condition last year and thanked the Lions for her campership, stating that she would like to go to camp again this year.

The scholarship allowed Kulp to attend the organization's week-long program for children with diabetes at Camp Merrick.
