"My Boyfriend's Back" Singer Meets Eldersburg at Car Show Preview Party

Hey-la-day-la Peggy Davison is back and stopped in Eldersburg for a meet and greet Thursday at the Fairview Car Show Preview Party. 

The lead singer of The Angels, most known for their No. 1 hit "My Boyfriend's Back" made an appearance at  in Eldersburg for the a preview party to kick-off to The Classic and Antique Car Show at  Saturday with a rain date of Sunday.

In regard to doing volunteer and charity work to benefit various communities, Davison says, "I’m happy to do it if I can!"

All proceeds from the event will benefit Carroll Hospital Center.

"Trophies, gift cards and gift baskets will be some of the prizes available during the event," explains one of the coordinators, Tammy Fleming. 

Despite the inclement weather, 50’s and 60’s car fans still made their way out to the preview party Thursday. Wine and light refreshments were available to all attendees, and music from The Angels played in the background.

Several classic and antique cars were on display inside of the dealership showroom for viewing.

More than 500 flyers for the show have been dispersed and local residents near Fairhaven are even promoting the event as they will be holding an antique-themed yard sale during the car show, according to coordinators of Saturday's event.
