Snow, Sleet Forecasted for Sykesville Friday

The National Weather Service reports that Carroll County could see sleet and snow after 1 p.m.

You shouldn't be surprised to hear that we are expecting wintry weather as it seems that wintry weather on Friday has been a recurring theme in 2013.

The National Weather Service predicts that there is a 60 percent chance of snow and sleet between noon and 3 p.m. with little or no ice or snow accumulation expected.

Friday night freezing rain is likely before 3 a.m., then a chance of snow, freezing rain and sleet according to NWS. There is a 70 percent chance of precipitation and little to accumulation is expected.

On Saturday, expect snow, freezing rain and sleet before 9 a.m., then rain. The high will be near 40 according to NWS.
