Spring Temperatures Coming to Sykesville After Historically Cold March

March was the coldest month on record since 2005 in the Baltimore area, according to the National Weather Service.

Skies are sunny, temperatures are in the 60s ... it must be spring.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures this weekend will reach the 60s during the day, while dropping to around 40 degrees at night. And on Monday we may see our first 70-degree day this spring.

That's a significant departure from what we experienced in March, which was the coolest March since 2005, according to NWS. The monthly average temperature was 40.7 degrees last month and it was the first March since 2001 when the temperature never reached 65 degrees or higher, reported NWS.

Thankfuly, spring will continue on Saturday; sun is expected all day with temperatures in the mid-50s, dropping to around 40 degrees at night.
