Summer Daze: Heat Index Could Reach 115

Officials warn Carroll residents to keep cool and stay hydrated.

The temperatures—rising and scorching—have led county and state officials to declare a "heat emergency."

The mercury is expected to be between the upper 90s to around 100 degrees on both Thursday and Friday; Saturday could also bring "excessive heat," according to the National Weather Service.

It'll feel even hotter though, as the heat index could get as high as 115 degrees in Carroll County...in the shade.
