Motorcyclist Taken to Shock Trauma After Losing Control

The Sheriff's Office said the Sykesville man had minor injuries, was taken to Shock Trauma a a 'precaution.'

A 53-year-old Sykesville man was taken to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center after losing control of his motorcycle Saturday in Eldersburg. 

According to Carroll County Sheriff's Office statement, at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies got a report of a motorcycle accident on the 800 block of Avonshire Court. When they arrived, deputies said they learned the driver, who was not named in the report, was not wearing a helmet.

The driver lost control at an intersection, according to the report, and sustained minor injuries. Deputies said the driver was taken to Shock Trauma as a precaution.
